The Red Cross Red Crescent Movement is the world's largest humanitarian organization, and we are looking for a Junior Delegate in Occupied Palestian Territory.

The Danish Red Cross has been engaging with PRCS since 2002, working predominantly on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) programming, youth development, and emergency response. The current portfolio consists of a Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) supported program and ad hoc emergency projects funded by various Danish foundations and other contributors. The main program supports community-based MHPSS activities with children and caregivers, youth development & engagement, and capacity exchange with the PRCS. Emergency projects often focus on the mobilization of volunteers to deliver Psychological First Aid (PFA), support to emergency health and provision of essential items; medical, food and non-food.

The Junior Delegate role aims to develop professional and humanitarian competencies for a long-term international career with the Danish Red Cross. It provides hands-on field experience in program management within a protracted crisis context, while contributing to strengthening the capacity of the Palestine Red Crescent Society through partnership, coordination, and mutual learning.

The DRC Country Office is located at the PRCS headquarters in Ramallah and currently consists of one international delegate and one local staff member. As a Junior Delegate, you will report to the Country Manager.

The Junior Delegate position will be based in Ramallah.

**Your main tasks include:**

1\. Program Support & Capacity Building

- Assist in planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting (PMER) of projects
- Support project implementation, budgeting, and compliance with donor and DRC standards
- Contribute to proposal writing, situation reports, and documentation of lessons learned
- Strengthen local capacities and support Host National Society operations when needed

2\. Donor Engagement & Communication

- Support donor relations, including research on donor priorities and funding opportunities
- Assist in proposal development and reporting (financial and narrative)
- Act as liaison with donors and contribute to communication materials (e.g., success stories)
- Help expand engagement with Danish donors, including MFA and private sector

3\. Coordination & Partnership Support

- Facilitate collaboration between Danish Red Cross and the Host National Society
- Support coordination with internal teams (HQ, Global Partnership, finance, programs)
- Contribute to strategic discussions on partnerships and business development

**4. Learning & Development**

- Participate in training, mentoring, and on-the-job learning
- Engage in cross-departmental and field assignments as required

**We believe that you fit this position if you have these qualifications:**

Professional skills and expertise:

- University-degree in humanitarian studies or other related fields.
- 2-3 years experience with business development, resource mobilization, donor relations and proposal development.
- Excellent reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and networking skills.
- Fluency in spoken and written English is a must.
- Full proficiency in Microsoft Office package and IT (user level).

Preferred:

- Experience working in the DRC and the RCRC Movement
- Knowledge about DRC strategies and partnership approach.
- Fluency in spoken and written Danish or Arabic is an asset.
- Working knowledge on MHPSS and Youth.

**Employment conditions**

This is a 12-month position, with possibility for an extension inclusive of a 3-month probationary period. The duty station is Ramallah. Regular travel to programme areas within oPt is obligatory to the extent that the security situation permits.
