## Job Purpose
To conduct hydrological analysis and plan rainwater resource management to ensure the effective design of harvesting systems integrated with irrigation, flood control, and water supply needs.
## Duties and Responsibilities
1-Conduct comprehensive hydrological analysis including rainfall patterns, runoff estimation, and catchment yield assessment.
2-Develop water balance models to evaluate seasonal and annual harvesting potential.
3-Prepare and review feasibility studies, master plans, and EIA-related hydrological inputs.
4-Define design storm criteria and flood estimation parameters for system sizing (tanks, reservoirs, drainage structures).
5-Coordinate integration of rainwater harvesting systems with irrigation, flood control, and water supply schemes.
## Academic Qualifications, Requirements, and Skills
-Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (preferably with specialization in Hydraulics or Water Resources).
-Postgraduate qualification in Hydraulic Engineering or related field (strongly preferred).
-Minimum 20+ years of experience in water resources planning and hydrological studies.
-Proven experience in feasibility studies, master planning, and EIA for water projects.
-Strong background in dam, irrigation, and water supply projects.
