## Job Purpose
To assess geological and groundwater conditions and provide technical recommendations to ensure safe, stable, and efficient design and implementation of water-related systems.
## Duties and Responsibilities
1-Conduct hydrogeological assessments including groundwater recharge potential and infiltration capacity.
2-Evaluate geological and geotechnical conditions of the project site (soil, rock, faults, stability).
3-Design and supervise site investigation programs (boreholes, geophysical surveys, lab testing).
4-Prepare engineering geology and hydrogeology reports for design and feasibility stages.
5-Assess risks such as seepage, liquefaction, slope instability, and seismic impacts.
6-Provide recommendations for foundation design, lining systems, and groundwater control measures.
7-Support design of recharge systems (percolation pits, infiltration basins, recharge wells).
8-Review construction methods and provide geotechnical guidance during implementation.
## Academic Qualifications, Requirements, and Skills
\- Bachelor's degree in Geological Engineering (master’s degree preferred).
-Minimum 25+ years of experience in engineering geology and geotechnical engineering.
-Extensive experience in dam, hydropower, and water infrastructure projects.
