**About PAH**:

Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) is an international non-governmental organization which since 1992 has been providing humanitarian and development help worldwide. So far, the interventions have been carried out in 46 different countries focusing on the implementation of projects in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Food Security and Livelihoods, as well as Nutrition and Education.

PAH has been operating in Kenya since April 2018, providing development assistance to the most vulnerable populations.

We support Kenya’s development by addressing key challenges such as water accessibility, hygiene promotion, climate change mitigation, and agricultural entrepreneurship to enhance food production. In collaboration with local experts, we implement innovative methods for water collection and treatment. To strengthen the agricultural sector, we offer comprehensive training programs on project management, leadership, administration, and modern farming techniques for agricultural cooperatives.

Our initiatives aim to improve livelihoods and enhance the quality of life for communities. Currently, our activities focus on Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH).

**Key responsibilities**:

- Coordinate Project Activities: Implement field-level project activities according to work plans.
- Regularly monitor project activities to ensure they are implemented according to the plan and standards.
- Data Collection: Gather data on project outcomes, community needs, and challenges.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit regular field/progress reports to the Project Coordinator detailing project activities, achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
- Community Mobilization: Engage with local communities, facilitate community meetings and participatory planning sessions. Address community concerns and feedback in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Enhance community contributions in all projects: engage with local community and their leadership to ensure they understand their responsibilities and the need for them to contribute to the project. Explain clearly that community contributions is obligatory.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Establish and maintain good relationships with local authorities, community leaders, government agencies, NGOs, and other partners
- Conflict Resolution: Mediate and address any conflicts or issues that may arise during project implementation.
- Works closely with the Dam Engineer to ensure construction is completed in line with the schedule.
- Supports in preparation of logistical documents such as requisition forms.

**The successful candidate will be selected based on the qualification requirements described below:**

- At least 2 years’ experience with a reputable organization or government institutions.
- Good written skills in English
- Good interpersonal skills.
- A degree/diploma in water social sciences, project management or related fields.
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.
- Must be a Kenyan citizen
